D-Day Beaches
From Utah to Sword Beach, the D-Day Beaches are a testimony of the decisive episode of the D-Day of June 6, 1944 in the liberation of France. Located in the departments of Calvados and La Manche, they extend over several kilometers between Ouistreham and Sainte-Marie-du-Mont, passing through Arromanches-les-Bains and Colleville-sur-Mer.
On June 6, 1944, thousands of men lost their lives on these Normandy beaches. Every year, millions of visitors come to the D-Day landing beaches, which have become a symbol of peace throughout the world.
