The Mont-Saint-Michel and its bay

The Mont-Saint-Michel and its bay

Theater of the biggest tides of Europe, the Mont-Saint-Michel, has the particularity of being erected on a rocky islet, surrounded by a sublime bay.
At the rhythm of the high tides (coefficient higher than 110), the submersible ford is covered with water, and for a few hours, the Mount becomes an island again.

Located between Normandy and Brittany, the Mont-Saint-Michel and its bay have been classified as a UNESCO World Heritage Site since 1979.

To reach the Mont, a parking lot is now accessible at 2.5 km, then free shuttles ("Le Passeur" shuttle), a horse-drawn shuttle (la maringote) or 3 pedestrian routes (count 40 to 50 minutes for each route) will take you to the building.
